Blaze Buster" Wins Its First Battle!

Recently, at the China (Mianyang) Science and Technology City Robot Training Base, the firefighting Quadruped Robot dog independently developed by Woob Robotics successfully completed a real-combat test featuring integrated detection and suppression.

This test was closely aligned with real-combat scenarios, focusing on key performance metrics of the new firefighting quadruped robot dog, including extinguishing range, coverage, efficiency, mobility, and fire detection capabilities. It successfully served the purpose of testing the equipment and verifying its functionalities.

[Firefighting Challenge:]

Scenario 1: Perception-Based Fire Suppression

The firefighting robot dog quickly locates the fire source using thermal imaging and other visual and environmental sensing technologies. It employs a multi-layered firefighting mechanism combining physical isolation and chemical suppression, bringing the fire under control in just 2 seconds.

Scenario 2: Mobile Fire Suppression

The firefighting robot dog identifies the ignition point and quickly approaches the fire scene to carry out suppression. It brings the fire under control in just 3 seconds.

[Test Data: Performance Indicators Meet Expectations]

According to the test report released on site:

• Firefighting Range: Maximum effective distance of 4.5 meters in a standing posture.
• Coverage Area: Maximum effective coverage area of approximately 10.6 square meters in standing posture (a sector with a 4.5-meter radius and a 60° central angle).
• Fire Types Handled: Class A fires (solid materials: wood, paper, cotton, rubber, buildings, and other combustible solids); Class B fires (flammable liquids: gasoline, diesel, kerosene, ethanol blends, and other non- or semi-water-soluble liquids); Class E fires (electrical equipment: both high- and low-voltage electrical fires); Some Class F fires (cooking oils and fats: fires caused by animal or vegetable oil in kitchens).
• Firefighting Efficiency: Accurately extinguishes the fire source within 2 seconds.
• Dynamic Fire Suppression While Moving: Supported.
• Continuous Operation Time: Up to 30 seconds of uninterrupted firefighting per deployment.
• Fire Suppressant Advantages: Multi-mode suppression mechanism (physical isolation + chemical inhibition); Environmentally friendly and safe (non-toxic and biodegradable);  Rapid cooling capability; Cold-resistant and stable performance.
• Fire Detection & Recognition Capabilities: 10× continuous optical zoom,

Supports thermal imaging, laser rangefinding, and rapid multi-target recognition and tracking. Equipped with intelligent vision-based fire source recognition, enabling real-time guidance and precision suppression.

• Terrain Adaptability: Capable of navigating complex environments such as stairwells, steps, 30° slopes, gravel roads, and underground corridors.

[Next Step: Advancing Toward Real-World Deployment]

We will actively seek collaboration with emergency and firefighting departments to integrate the firefighting quadruped robot dog into practical training scenarios. By subjecting it to complex environments and ever-changing situations, we aim to further test and validate its performance in special fire incidents where human access is limited — such as high-rise fires and hazardous chemical leaks.

At the same time, we will continue technical iterations to make the firefighting robot dog even smarter, more efficient, safer, and more reliable — ultimately becoming a "steel comrade" to frontline firefighters.
